| News from Week 13: This week, we welcome Jeff to the pool. Everyone all together now: "Welcome, Jeff!" Jeff is the son of college friends, Larry and Amy. Larry warned us that Jeff is a fiendishly good NFL picker, and this week's results would seem to bear that out. A good week also for Mark with 81% and Susan who tied Jeff's pick pct, but ended the week one point lower than Jeff since he picked one more upset correctly. But in addition to getting the most games correct, Mark also beat all comers in bonus points, with four. Jeff and Ken both had three, and a slew of folks earned two. Ben, in fourth place on the week manages to keep ahead of Luke for the season, in fact he extends his lead as Luke came in seventh with one fewer point than Ben. But Ben and Luke are distancing themselves from the rest of us. There was a little shuffling of position in the middle of the pack (4th through 10th), but not much of note. |

| Each correct pick earns you a point. In addition to that, each correct underdog pick earns you a bonus point. Underdogs are indicated by the presence of a number next to the team name on the pick sheet, representing the number of points that they are expected to lose by (point spread). |

The winner at the end of the regular season gets their name engraved on the plaque of the trophy. The previous year's winner is responsible for getting the plaque updated, and the trophy mailed to the new winner in a timely fashion. Mark and Rosa have set the bar very high for turnaround time here.
Note: only family members are eligible for the family trophy. Other invited players are eligible for the "Family and Friends" trophy.
While we do run a pool for the postseason, there is no prize other than the honor of winning. |
