| Week 9: Quite a strange week with only 2 upsets (Detroit and Indianapolis, if I tallied correctly) and no player getting more than 1, with only 3 upset points awarded in total! Surprisingly, Ben anticipated this and did *not* pick all upsets this week! Terry comes out on top, however, with 9 correct picks and a pool-leading 69%. This edges him one point closer to daughter Caroline. An odd week somehow has Tom bobbing back to the surface and gasping for breath, while Emma stumbles a bit, but buoyed by her large point lead over Luke, she will no doubt rise again. Ben, Jacob, and Dusty each pick up one spot, while Flo drops a couple. Luke, meanwhile, with the best overall pick percentage on the season, has been distancing himself from Susan, and occasionally closing the gap with Emma. We could be in for an interesting climax! |

Scoring: Each correct pick earns you a point. In addition to that, each correct underdog pick earns you a bonus point. Underdogs are indicated by the presence of a number next to the team name on the pick sheet, representing the number of points that they are expected to lose by (point spread). Deadlines: It is in your interest to make your picks accurately and get them in on time. Late submissions may be allowed at the discretion of the poolmaster; changes in picks, after the submission deadline, are not allowed. |

The winner at the end of the regular season gets their name engraved on the plaque of the trophy. The previous year's winner is responsible for getting the plaque updated, and the trophy mailed to the new winner in a timely fashion. Mark and Rosa have set the bar very high for turnaround time here.
Note: only family members are eligible for the family trophy. Other invited players are eligible for the "Family and Friends" trophy.
While we do run a pool for the postseason, there is no prize other than the honor of winning. |
