| Week 10: Congratulations go out to Jacob this week who earned an 86% with only two missed picks! What a contrast to last week! We had a few folks at 71%, including Susan and David who managed to pick three upsets correctly to earn 13 points, only one behind Jacob, and this week *everybody* picked at least half the games right. It was heartening to see at least two Denver fans out there. Seems like there should have been more. The true Denver fans made up for it by also picking New Orleans, which nobody else got right. Oh, except Jacob. On the season standings board, Jacob, Donna, David, and Susan move up one each, Dusty up two, and Tom up four. That seemingly big jump is mostly due to there being a bunch of folks tied or nearly tied in that area. We are still topped by three outstanding women, including Emma on top with a ten point lead over her mom. There are nine players in a seven point range, from 100-107, so things are quite crowded in the middle, with plenty of room for shuffling |

Scoring: Each correct pick earns you a point. In addition to that, each correct underdog pick earns you a bonus point. Underdogs are indicated by the presence of a number next to the team name on the pick sheet, representing the number of points that they are expected to lose by (point spread).
Deadlines: It is in your interest to make your picks accurately and get them in on time. Late submissions may be allowed at the discretion of the poolmaster; changes in picks, after the submission deadline, are not allowed. |

The winner at the end of the regular season gets their name engraved on the plaque of the trophy. The previous year's winner is responsible for getting the plaque updated, and the trophy mailed to the new winner in a timely fashion. Mark and Rosa have set the bar very high for turnaround time here.
Note: only family members are eligible for the family trophy. Other invited players are eligible for the "Family and Friends" trophy.
While we do run a pool for the postseason, there is no prize other than the honor of winning. |
