| Week 1: Welcome back to our returning players, especially Ken who has been missed! And a hearty Welcome to our new players as well! The results of the first week of play put perennial favorite Luke at the top of the heap, along with new-to-the-pool son-in-law Jim, but right behind them comes Ken, right back in top form! Ben starts with his usual beginning-of-season strategy of choosing all the underdogs, which puts him squarely in the middle of the pack in seventh place, tied with Jacob and Susan, who I would guess spent more time agonizing over their picks. On to week 2!! |

Scoring: Each correct pick earns you a point. In addition to that, each correct underdog pick earns you a bonus point. Underdogs are indicated by the presence of a number next to the team name on the pick sheet, representing the number of points that they are expected to lose by (point spread). Deadlines: It is in your interest to make your picks accurately and get them in on time. Late submissions may be allowed at the discretion of the poolmaster; changes in picks, after the submission deadline, are not allowed. |

The winner at the end of the regular season gets their name engraved on the plaque of the trophy. The previous year's winner is responsible for getting the plaque updated, and the trophy mailed to the new winner in a timely fashion. Mark and Rosa have set the bar very high for turnaround time here.
Note: only family members are eligible for the family trophy. Other invited players are eligible for the "Family and Friends" trophy.
While we do run a pool for the postseason, there is no prize other than the honor of winning. |
