| Week 10: This week has Flo back at the top of her game, and at the top of the standings, with an excellent 79% and 17 points including 6 upsets. Nobody else had 11 correct picks, although Natalie got 10. There were many upsets this week, 8 altogether, and the only one David and Sparky (tied for 2nd with Natalie) missed was the one that *everybody* missed -- Seattle over the Pats. Even our Seattle pool pals picked perennially perfect Pats!! Flo's Big Win rockets her up 3 rungs on our season standings ladder, and Natalie's 2nd place pushes her up 2. Caroline and David sneak up one spot each, to round out our list of advancers for the week. There were no Genius Picks (tm) this week, and we don't talk about their opposites, at least not in polite company... |

Scoring: Each correct pick earns you a point. In addition to that, each correct underdog pick earns you a bonus point. Underdogs are indicated by the presence of a number next to the team name on the pick sheet, representing the number of points that they are expected to lose by (point spread). Deadlines: It is in your interest to make your picks accurately and get them in on time. Late submissions may be allowed at the discretion of the poolmaster; changes in picks, after the submission deadline, are not allowed. |

The winner at the end of the regular season gets their name engraved on the plaque of the trophy. The previous year's winner is responsible for getting the plaque updated, and the trophy mailed to the new winner in a timely fashion. Mark and Rosa have set the bar very high for turnaround time here.
Note: only family members are eligible for the family trophy. Other invited players are eligible for the "Family and Friends" trophy.
While we do run a pool for the postseason, there is no prize other than the honor of winning. |
