| Week 5: This week, David is back to his old form, with a nice weekly win, and a bump up in the standings to go with it. His 11 correct picks is tied by Emma, but David scored one more bonus point (6 vs. 5) to capture 1st place. After Emma in 2nd place, Susan and Sparky sit two points back tied for 3rd. On the season standings, Emma widens the gap on Luke by 3 points to put her 11 points above the hoi polloi. It will be hard to catch Emma at this rate! Besides Emma, Susan, and Natalie who maintain their places (watch your back, Luke!), it was a tough week for the women with Flo, Caroline, and Donna slipping. All the advancers this week happen to be men. |

Scoring: Each correct pick earns you a point. In addition to that, each correct underdog pick earns you a bonus point. Underdogs are indicated by the presence of a number next to the team name on the pick sheet, representing the number of points that they are expected to lose by (point spread).
Deadlines: It is in your interest to make your picks accurately and get them in on time. Late submissions may be allowed at the discretion of the poolmaster; changes in picks, after the submission deadline, are not allowed. |

The winner at the end of the regular season gets their name engraved on the plaque of the trophy. The previous year's winner is responsible for getting the plaque updated, and the trophy mailed to the new winner in a timely fashion. Mark and Rosa have set the bar very high for turnaround time here.
Note: only family members are eligible for the family trophy. Other invited players are eligible for the "Family and Friends" trophy.
While we do run a pool for the postseason, there is no prize other than the honor of winning. |
