| Week 13: This was clearly a challenging week for everyone, as only 3 players managed to pick half the games correctly. And I don't mean "at least half," I mean *exactly* half. Nobody picked more than one upset correctly. These conditions helped to create more movement than usual in the season standings, in spite of the fact that from best to worst, everyone (who played...) scored between 9 and 6 points. Susan falls 2 down to number 3, swapping places with Flo who bounces back to a tie for 1st with Dusty, who's held the spot now for 2 weeks. Jacob moves up 2 as well, and David earned a Genius Pick (tm) for San Fran. |

Scoring: Each correct pick earns you a point. In addition to that, each correct underdog pick earns you a bonus point. Underdogs are indicated by the presence of a number next to the team name on the pick sheet, representing the number of points that they are expected to lose by (point spread). Deadlines: It is in your interest to make your picks accurately and get them in on time. Late submissions may be allowed at the discretion of the poolmaster; changes in picks, after the submission deadline, are not allowed. |

The winner at the end of the regular season gets their name engraved on the plaque of the trophy. The previous year's winner is responsible for getting the plaque updated, and the trophy mailed to the new winner in a timely fashion. Mark and Rosa have set the bar very high for turnaround time here.
Note: only family members are eligible for the family trophy. Other invited players are eligible for the "Family and Friends" trophy.
While we do run a pool for the postseason, there is no prize other than the honor of winning. |
