| Week 10: This week, only 4 of us manage to beat a 50% pick percentage, and they are Ben and Flo with an awesome 71%, and Luke and Mark with 57%. Clearly a less predictable that usual week. Four others managed to make it to the halfway mark: Dusty, Donna, Emma, and Susan. But Ben and Flo really stood out this week with each picking 10 of the games correctly, including 6 upsets! So there was more than the usual movement on the season standings board. Flo moves up 2 into a tie for first with Susan, and Ben and Mark each move up 1 spot, and both are poised to move further up, as they sit just a point behind the next rung on the ladder. The big loser of the week was Tom, dropping three spots, and well out of the chase for the trophy. |

Scoring: Each correct pick earns you a point. In addition to that, each correct underdog pick earns you a bonus point. Underdogs are indicated by the presence of a number next to the team name on the pick sheet, representing the number of points that they are expected to lose by (point spread). Deadlines: It is in your interest to make your picks accurately and get them in on time. Late submissions may be allowed at the discretion of the poolmaster; changes in picks, after the submission deadline, are not allowed. |

The winner at the end of the regular season gets their name engraved on the plaque of the trophy. The previous year's winner is responsible for getting the plaque updated, and the trophy mailed to the new winner in a timely fashion. Mark and Rosa have set the bar very high for turnaround time here.
Note: only family members are eligible for the family trophy. Other invited players are eligible for the "Family and Friends" trophy.
While we do run a pool for the postseason, there is no prize other than the honor of winning. |
