| Week 2: It was clearly a challenging week for everyone, with only six people getting half their picks correct or better. And George bested everyone this week with a 63% pick percentage, moving him up a big eight spots on the season standings -- way to go, George! David K moves up six, to fourth place, with his (tied for) second place twelve points, including a pool leading four upsets this week. Jacob and Flo, tied with David for second place this week, each move up four places to share second place overall. Emma was all fives this week: tied for fifth on the week, having correctly picked fifty percent of the games, moves up five places to fifth overall. |

Scoring: Each correct pick earns you a point. In addition to that, each correct underdog pick earns you a bonus point. Underdogs are indicated by the presence of a number next to the team name on the pick sheet, representing the number of points that they are expected to lose by (point spread).
Deadlines: It is in your interest to make your picks accurately and get them in on time. Late submissions may be allowed at the discretion of the poolmaster; changes in picks, after the submission deadline, are not allowed. |

The winner at the end of the regular season gets their name engraved on the plaque of the trophy. The previous year's winner is responsible for getting the plaque updated, and the trophy mailed to the new winner in a timely fashion. Mark and Rosa have set the bar very high for turnaround time here.
Note: only family members are eligible for the family trophy. Other invited players are eligible for the "Family and Friends" trophy.
While we do run a pool for the postseason, there is no prize other than the honor of winning. |
