News Flash
Week 1: In a stunning start to the season, Tom sprints out of the gate and takes the early lead, surprising exactly nobody. Tom's stellar performance bests all in both points and pick percentage!

But enough about me :-) How have the *real* players been doing? I'm glad you asked! Ben chose to follow the non-thinking strategy of mythical player "Underdog" (look back in the archives...) at least for the first week, and the outcome did not suck. By definition, he has the most underdog points, and he ended up tied for third place with best buds Ken and Luke.

Susan managed to squeeze in between her main squeeze and the "*en Men+Luke" group for a second place finish this first week.

Going into the second Monday night game (ugh!), there was an interesting intra-marital tie between Flo and Luke, causing some "less than impartial" observers to root for San Diego. Wasn't meant to be, I guess; not this week anyway.

Rules
Scoring: Each correct pick earns you a point. In addition to that, each correct underdog pick earns you a bonus point. Underdogs are indicated by the presence of a number next to the team name on the pick sheet, representing the number of points that they are expected to lose by (point spread).
Deadlines: It is in your interest to make your picks accurately and get them in on time. Late submissions may be allowed at the discretion of the poolmaster; changes in picks, after the submission deadline, are not allowed.
Tournament Prizes
The winner at the end of the regular season gets their name engraved on the plaque of the trophy. The previous year's winner is responsible for getting the plaque updated, and the trophy mailed to the new winner in a timely fashion. Mark and Rosa have set the bar very high for turnaround time here.

Note: only family members are eligible for the family trophy. Other invited players are eligible for the "Family and Friends" trophy.

While we do run a pool for the postseason, there is no prize other than the honor of winning.
