Wow, what a difference a week makes! Six out of our thirteen pickers this week got all the games correct, and that includes one upset. And as we were speculating, all the "interesting" teams have advanced! But that will come to an end next week, as only one AFC and one NFC team can advance to the Superbowl (at least that's how I interpret the rules).
Susan now has a daughter with her for company up at the previously lonely top spot, with twenty points each, and each only having missed one correct pick thus far. Careful observers may note that if Clara and Tyler were to trade places, our male and female players would be totally separated in the standings. As it is, the males are unabashedly *dominating* the (bottom of the) standings. |

Scoring: Each correct pick earns you points, depending on the round. Wildcard round is 1 point, Division is 2 points, Conference is 4, SuperBowl is 8. In addition to that, each correct underdog pick earns you a bonus. The bonus is equal to the difference in seeding of the two teams. For example, if you pick a number 5 seed to beat a number 1 and they win, you earn 4 bonus points.
Deadlines: It is in your interest to make your picks accurately and get them in on time. Late submissions may be allowed at the discretion of the poolmaster; changes in picks, after the submission deadline, are not allowed. |
