| Week 10. This week we lament the loss of another of our members to didnt-submit-itis. Sheldon will have to fight his way back over the next seven weeks to regain those ten steps he tumbled down. This week is notable for the fact that none of the top six moved at all -- are the standings beginning to cement? Jeff had an outstanding week, with only three incorrect picks, and five underdogs. That showing was worth a four point bump in the standings. Way to go, Jeff! This week we also welcome Flo to our swelling ranks. Flo will need to average 22 points per week for the remaining weeks to catch husband Luke, assuming he can continue to amass the 9.7 pts/wk he's been averaging thus far. I hear there's a lot of support out there for you, Flo, though this pool admin must take care to remain always, 100% unbiased ;-). |

| Each correct pick earns you a point. In addition to that, each correct underdog pick earns you a bonus point. Underdogs are indicated by the presence of a number next to the team name on the pick sheet, representing the number of points that they are expected to lose by (point spread). |

The winner at the end of the regular season gets their name engraved on the plaque of the trophy. The previous year's winner is responsible for getting the plaque updated, and the trophy mailed to the new winner in a timely fashion. Mark and Rosa have set the bar very high for turnaround time here.
Note: only family members are eligible for the family trophy. Other invited players are eligible for the "Family and Friends" trophy.
While we do run a pool for the postseason, there is no prize other than the honor of winning. |
