Emma and I got to witness the Pats' defeat of KC in person, which was lots of fun. Would have been *more* fun if we were a few rows away from the obnoxious guy behind us.
Ben won one, elevating him two to four for the season. Also with a win for the week are Ken and Mark, and their superior pointage inches them closer to overall leader, Tom, who comes in one point down and tied with Emma.
Clara earns a "genius pick" this week for choosing Miami, though Miami was favored. Emma and Tom were the only two to pick Philly, a four point underdog. But perhaps the gutsy pick of the week should go to Ben, Ken, and Mark who were the only three to choose five-point underdog Denver. Nicely done.
Overall, there were lots of correct picks this week. I guess we're getting the hang of this, right? |

| Each correct pick earns you a point. In addition to that, each correct underdog pick earns you a bonus point. Underdogs are indicated by the presence of a number next to the team name on the pick sheet, representing the number of points that they are expected to lose by (point spread). |

The winner at the end of the regular season gets their name engraved on the plaque of the trophy. The previous year's winner is responsible for getting the plaque updated, and the trophy mailed to the new winner in a timely fashion. Mark and Rosa have set the bar very high for turnaround time here.
Note: only family members are eligible for the family trophy. Other invited players are eligible for the "Family and Friends" trophy.
While we do run a pool for the postseason, there is no prize other than the honor of winning. |
