| News from Week 8: Jacob and Emma make big moves this week in the season standings, moving up 6 and 4 places respectively. Rosa and Tom both drop 3, with Dusty moving up from 4th to 3rd to take the slot I vacated. Tyler, with a rough week, holds on to 1st place overall by a single point, with Luke making up 6 of the 7 points he was trailing by. There's still a fair gap between 3rd and 2nd (6 pts), and if you move down a further 6 points from 3rd place, you'd be way down in 11th place. So with nearly half the season gone, it's a horse race between Luke and Tyler. In a minor tragedy this week, Susan puts together a pretty good showing, but manages to still drop a spot on the season thanks to Emma's strong results. Looks like there's a lot of opportunity for shifting between 3rd and 12th place, but it will be tough to crack into the top two. |

The winner at the end of the regular season gets their name engraved on the plaque of the trophy. The previous year's winner is responsible for getting the plaque updated, and the trophy mailed to the new winner in a timely fashion. Mark and Rosa have set the bar very high for turnaround time here.
Note: only family members are eligible for the family trophy. Other invited players are eligible for the "Family and Friends" trophy.
While we do run a pool for the postseason, there is no prize other than the honor of winning. |
