News from Week 7: Top of this week's leaderboard is dominated by women! Although to be fair, Ben and Ken are also part of the tie for 2nd place, and I've no idea how the program decides the ordering among tied players. Anyway, Rosa takes the top spot this week with the combination of highest pick percentage and most underdog points. In each of those individual categories, players were tied with Rosa, but nobody else had the combination. Way to go, Rosa!

On the season, Tyler maintains his seven point advantage in first place. No change in the top three, but after a rough week this week, Thayne drops five spots to number eight. Rosa's win pulls her up two spots into number seven, and Ben also moves up two to number four. Dusty, with a ninth place finish, manages to move up a spot also. Guess he's finally gotten some good meds to control the manic-depressive stuff.

On a personal note (it's my bully pulpit, after all), I feel that Brett Favre really let me down this week. I really respected him as the long-time Packers QB that he was, but this in and out of retirement business, and the recent surfacing of his poor judgment has caused me to lose some of that respect. But essentially throwing away the Sunday night game (and I mean that almost literally) was the final straw. If the Vikings had won that game, I'd have been in 2nd place this week. Sigh...

Rules
Each correct pick earns you a point. In addition to that, each correct underdog pick earns you a bonus point. Underdogs are indicated by the presence of a number next to the team name on the pick sheet, representing the number of points that they are expected to lose by (point spread).
Tournament Prizes
The winner at the end of the regular season gets their name engraved on the plaque of the trophy. The previous year's winner is responsible for getting the plaque updated, and the trophy mailed to the new winner in a timely fashion. Mark and Rosa have set the bar very high for turnaround time here.

Note: only family members are eligible for the family trophy. Other invited players are eligible for the "Family and Friends" trophy.

While we do run a pool for the postseason, there is no prize other than the honor of winning.
