News from Week 6: It was a good week to be Luke -- not only did Luke earn the top spot for the week, he moved up three places in the season standings from 5th to 2nd, climbing right over the prostrate form of your hard-working, faithful webmaster in the process. Judging from the blood, I think he was wearing his golf spikes at the time.
Among our entire crew, only eight Underdog points were awarded this past week, and half of those were divided evenly between our weekly champ, Luke, and our season leader, Mr. T., who continues to dominate, seven points over 2nd place, and eleven over 3rd. Only four of us managed to pick better than 50% this week as well. Dusty had a "manic" week, and if Jacksonville had managed to win on Monday night, we would have continued his bottom-to-top bouncing ways. Both Dusty and Rosa made good moves upward in the season standings this week, while Ben and Donna (kiss, kiss) took a small plunge together. |

| Top Players In Current Standings |
| Each correct pick earns you a point. In addition to that, each correct underdog pick earns you a bonus point. Underdogs are indicated by the presence of a number next to the team name on the pick sheet, representing the number of points that they are expected to lose by (point spread). |

The winner at the end of the regular season gets their name engraved on the plaque of the trophy. The previous year's winner is responsible for getting the plaque updated, and the trophy mailed to the new winner in a timely fashion. Mark and Rosa have set the bar very high for turnaround time here.
Note: only family members are eligible for the family trophy. Other invited players are eligible for the "Family and Friends" trophy.
While we do run a pool for the postseason, there is no prize other than the honor of winning. |
